If you just want to see the list, skip down to "Easter Eggs in Reign of Chaos" ) History I have been keeping track of every item in RoC single player and every hero and random junk like that for kicks since the game came out. Then a few months ago somebody asked some Easter egg-related question, and I thought, "Hey! I know this from my list. Why not just make a text document from it and post it?" So I did and everybody seemed to like it. It was missing a few items, and the demo campaign wasn't in, but it was popular. Now I've finished it and added the demo levels in. I have two lists: My massive includes everything Microsoft Word document, and my smaller Easter egg only text list. Everything from the latter can be found on the former. I know the massive list is complete because I opened up the campaign maps (first extracting them from the MPQ files) and looked them over with the World Editor. About This is a list of all Easter Eggs (hidden items, secrets, or generally funny stuff that is not encountered during casual or "gotta make it through the level as fast as possible and can't stop to smell the roses" type gameplay) encountered in the Single Player Campaigns to WarCraft III: Reign of Chaos. I am not including campaigns made by other people, or WarChasers, or The Death Sheep. I will not include the location of every item, only the ones that you would not find by simply exploring the map. (For example, I will not be mentioning the scroll of healing in the crate next to your base, but I will mention the scroll of healing in the crate in a hidden path through the trees. Feel free to contribute anything you think is missing from it. I will of course already be aware of it, (because I'm just that cool) but I may have over looked it when making the list. Also, feel free to point out errors, factual, grammatical, or otherwise, And last, if you do not think the directions are clear enough go ahead and ask for clarification. I will try to credit any significant contributions to you, but if I do not, don't feel bad. The list is for everybody! Go ahead and link to it on your website, copy it onto your website, save it to your hard drive, or whatever. I just ask two things: 1) Please credit me with making it, and 2) Please try to spell Dr.Cheis correctly. About the Demo Campaign In case you didn't know, WarCraft III: The Frozen Throne included a custom campaign called DemoCampaign. This campaign is the same campaign released with the WarCraft III Demo, and is not included with Reign of Chaos. The campaign as a whole is called “Exodus of the Horde.” You can download the demo from http://www.blizzard.com/war3/demo/. The first two missions from the demo are actually the first two missions from the prologue campaign on RoC, and are referred to as Prologue X. The remaining three missions are only available in the demo or the TFT campaign, and are referred to as Demo X. (Note that only the demo contains both prologue and demo missions. The TFT campaign leaves out the two prologue missions.) There are some differences between the versions, but the Easter eggs should all be the same. On to the list! Easter Eggs in Reign of Chaos Exodus of the Horde Prologue 1: There are 2 "Scurvy Pirates" guarding a "Phat Lewt" on an island, but you can only see it with Far Sight. Prologue 2: There's a hidden Potion of Healing in a path that leads away from the main path. Demo 3: There's a Circlet of Nobility inside a crate hidden behind the trees at southeast corner of map. Demo 4: There is a Potion of Mana behind some rocks just beyond the Salamanders. Demo 5: Head west of the Fountain of Health until you reach a Dire Wolf aand a Timber Wolf, then turn south until you see trees. Cut through the trees with peons, or blast through them with Catapults/Demolishers to find a Kul'Tiras Marine Tent. Destroy it and be rewarded with a Crown of Kings +5 and a Scroll of Restoration. (In the TFT version you get Demolishers, and in the Demo version you get Catapults.) The Scourge of Lordaeron Mission 1: If you kill any villagers (how dare you?) at midnight (O O) you can sort of see their ghosts in the graveyard. Mission 2: Behind trees neer Serinox's cave is a Gnoll Warden who drops a Wand of Negation (usefull against the Blademaster) but it will take you a very long time to cut through them. Mission 2: If you cut through the trees behind the Murloc camp, you can reach an Ogre camp, which will yield you Guantlets of Ogre Strength +3. Mission 3: If you backtrack to the Ogres that attacked Jaina you'll find a sheep that drops a bracer of Agility. Mission 3: If you click on Garglemel (the guy who says, "Milord! If this is about taxes I can explain!" ) 50 times he will give you gold. Clicking him 100 times will make him give you a Potion of Healing. Mission 3: Durring the Bandit attack, if you save a villiger named Splendora, she will give you a potion of Greater Healing. Mission 4: Poor Little Timmy has been Ghoulified and put in a cage =( If you kill him (the only way I could bring myself to do it was with Holy Light) he drops a Ring of Superiority. Mission 5: Backtracking along the path to Hearthglen will take you to 2 villigers who'll fight for Lordaeron and become footmen. Mission 5: There is a "Hearthglen Building" in the SE corner of your base. Destroying it opens a path to a crate which contains a sheep, which drops a Potion of Restoration. Mission 5: In a cage in the murloc base is Mark who'll reward you with Boots of Speed. Mission 5: If you continue beyond the second town, you will find a Fountain of Health and some Ogres egar to fight. Killing them yields Guantlets of Ogre Strength +3, a Potion of Greater Healing, and a periapt of vitalaty. Mission 6: In the "zoo" there is a rat named Filson. Every attack aimed at him will miss, but using a Mortar Team, or clicking it to death causes it to drop a Talisman of Evasion. Mission 8: To the right of the Blue Dragons, there is a tree wall which conceals a Pandaren who drops a Pendant of Mana. Path of the Damned Mission 1: Chopping behind trees will take you to an area north of the starting location with Rock and Mud Golems. They drop Guantlets of Ogre Strength +3. Mission 1: If you destroy the Barracks and make your way to the Riderless Horses, one drops a Ring of Protection +2. Mission 1: Killing the Captain who leads the patroll yields a potion of Greater Healing. Mission 2: In a fenced-in area there's a sheep that drops a Goblin Nightscope. Mission 2: There is a Pandaren Relaxation Area behind the base with the second Paladin. Mission 2: If you cut behind the trees west of the wizzards (between the 2 poles) you'll discover a rather cinematic, a potion of Healing, and Claws of attack +6 (after a fight). Mission 2: If you explore to the southwest, there's a Granite Golem that bursts out of the trees and drops a Pendant of Energy (after you kill if of course) Mission 8: It's hard, but if you take a Goblin Zeppelin to hte north-east, there's a Magic Vualt with a Medallion of Courage, and a Scepter of Mastery. It's a very well-guarded area, so it's best to sneak in, break it open, then us a Scroll of Town Portal to escape. The Scepter is very useful against enemy Steam Tanks. (There's also an Archmage in the middle of the map who gaurds some good items.) There is also a hill with some Gnolls in the lower-right corner that can only be reachecd by air. They leave behind a Scroll of Healing. The Invasion of Kalimdor Mission 1: There's a hidden opening in the trees south of the first Murlocs you encounter. It leads to a group of Bronze Dragon Whelps guarding a crate with a Ring of Protection +1 in it. Mission 1: If you continue east of where you rescued the two Headhunters and the Grunt, it will lead to an openint in the trees with a crate holding a Lion's Ring. Mission 1: Going east from the Fountain of Health until you reach the shore, there's another opening in the trees to the west. The area is guarded by a Razormane Brute and a Quillboar. They guard a Centaur Hut with a Wand of Lightning Shield in it. Mission 4: There are faerie circles scattered around the map. Walking Hellscream into them causes items to appear in them, as well as some Banshee Ghosts and Wraiths. The one in the center has a Tome of Agility. THe one in the South has Boots of Speed. The one in the North has a Potion of Restoration. Thanks to LittleOne for that tip. Mission 5: If you Windwalk through the northern Night Elf base, there is a circle in the ground. Walking in it causes a Pendant of Mana to appear in circle in the north. Walking into that circle (you have to blast down trees with a catapult) will cause Boots of Elvenkind +6 to spawn there. Mission 7: If you kill the Razormane Chieftain in the pit without activating the trap (using the Stone Token might help) he drops a Necklace of Spell Immunity. Mission 7: There is a Sludge Monstrosity in a hidden path that drops a Ring of Regeneration. Mission 7: In some rocks there is a hidden Stone Token. Mission 7: There is a "Hungry Hungry Lizzard" that eats its way through the trees and reveals the path to The Lion Horn of Stormwind. Eternity's End Mission 2: There's a Hydralisk hidden behind trees in the north-east. Bringing Tyrande to it will rescue it for you. Mission 4: At the bottom left in the corrupted forest is an lizard cave with a lvl 10 Ancient Storm Wyrm; he drops a Sobi Mask. Thanks to LittleOne of Northerend for that tip. Mission 5: Using Force of Nature on some trees north of the Defiled Fountain of Life reveals a path to The Largest Panda Ever, a truely gigantic panda with spell immunity. Killing it makes it drop a Necklace of Spell Immunity. Mission 5: Right before Tyrande and Furion split up, there is a row of trees on the right wall. Using Force of Nature clears a path to a small chamber with some crates in it. One of the crates contains a sheep. The sheep drops nothing when killed... Mission 5: Jimmy the Seal is hidden behind some trees neer 2 Spiders. He drops a Manual of Health. Mission 5: At the bottom of the map (Furion and Tyrande are already going different ways) you can cut your way through some trees (use Force of Nature) to get to some skeletons (one will drop a Scroll of Healing). When you cut your way further (you must search for it; it's not as obvious as the other places) you can teleport to a secret little dungeon where you can fight a lvl9 Ice Revenant (guarded by some minor skeletons). He will drop a Robe of the Magi +6. Thanks to LittleOne for that tip. Mission 5: Above the Circle of power that activates the bridge, there is a Sludge Monstrosity behind some trees. You know what to do here. He drops a Wand of Negation. If you take Furion all the way up into the area, you can see some trees on the other side of a river. Use Force of Nature on them, and take the Treants into the cave. You'll find a Furbolg camp and 2 Frubolg Shamans and a Furbolg Uras Warrior will join your forces! You can use the Way Gate behind them to teleport them back to the Circle of Power. Mission 5: In Tyrande's area, there are Gauntlets of Ogre Strength +3 behind some trees, neer a Fountain of Health. Mission 5: Tyrande can find a Tome of Knowledge that is is dropped by a Book of Summoning Pedestal (it's behind a gate on the northwest corner of the library). Mission 5: If you explore with Tyrande there's an area behind trees which leads to the Shrine of the Uberfish. It has a Mantle of Intelligence +3. Mission 5: When you rescue a group of Night Elves, there's a Timber Wolf named Loki amoung them. Mission 7: Behind some trees behind the Furbolg Merc Camp is a Stone Token. End -Dr.Cheis
